With a RM999 for a modem fee, RM100 registration fee and RM50 activation fee (first bill) we as normal user can say goodbye to taste Wimax.
Check out their package. I guess we just had to wait for the cooling off period for the price of the modem to drop. Until now just enjoy Screamyx and Celcom Narrowband. :P

According to P1 official website, it shows that the modem is free of charge for current promotion.
However I can’t find further information to prove that statement.

I totally agree with you on the upfront payment.. had to sacrifice my whole month salary just for the initial payment…
Guess its new technology and they’re charging us consumers a bombshell.

Yes the current promotion will give a free modem, but the registration and activation fees still applied.
How about other people in Penang for example who can’t enjoy this promotion when Wimax get here. I do hope they will extent this sweet promotion for some time.

the modem is now free but it is still not worth any money since the coverage is only at certain areas.

if wirelessKL is any indication of their consistency and reliability of their service, I say forget it. Give it a miss until they get their sht together.
Just cos you’re not making money out of the wirelesssKL project doesn’t mean you abandon it entirely. Postponing your delivery date just gives a bad impression of the company. How would I know that they won’t have the same type of attitude when it comes to servicing the RM59 monthly user as opposed to those shelling out RM150?

Yes free modem, but you must spent some money for activation…

dude..this promotion is a crap..if u subscribe for 1 or 2 year than oni u will get the modem free..but u will tied with contract..
beside that,their connection is sucks..
from my experience and my frenz,P1 alwiz have downtime each and everyday..whenever i called their call centre, thy claims that they already assigned my case to their technician department but no feedback until now.. what a superb company??
When my fren registered, they claims that it can support until 15-20th floor, but after registered their call centre claims it only can support until 7-8th floor… Which one is true?
Call centre..cos my fren staying in 16th floor but the he unable to use the connection even a single day..
And each time,i have to repeat my contact number and name for their reference..my gosh..
Im juz sick of it edi..
Now,if i want to terminate the service,i have to walk over to their ugly building in Jln Templer..
R they going to pay me the petrol fee?
No..and even the best part is i oni got RM 50.00 from my registration refund..
thy claims that the balance Rm 50.00 for admin fees..(oh god..i was regret what i did and why i choose this stupid Wimax)..
Choose wisely,frenz..

Yeah I truly agreed with u Prince Darkness.
P1 ( Wimax ) is really a stupid wireless product that had been launch by Packet One.
They claimed to be the First one to launch this STUPID service but its really Sucks.
I got few frens who is working in P1 office in Jln Templer. They said every day got down time. When call to their customer service to check on the connection problem or to check on previous problem means they always will say their Network or Technical Team is looking on this. ( How long do they need to solve it – 2 weeks ah? )
Then why are saying this is a different Wireless Technology. It’s seem to be the same as other wireless connection in the market.
Do you ppl know some thing about P1 Wimax. They got this policy in their T&C to LIMIT the connection when reached 20G. ( P1 is cheating all the customer’s on this )
Even their CEO Mr. Michael Lai said P1 Wimax service is unlimited access in one of TV program.
They claimed that is Mobility. ( Big Liar ). How can we get power supply if we are on the move. Bullshit la.
However, streamyx or other provider in the market are abit better this P1.
Pls ppl don’t trust this STUPID product and cancel your other Internet service.
Just wait n See

Also be aware of their T&Cs, namely 20GB/month cap and 50km radius coverage from registered address.
I’ve blogged about this at the link above.
